Ben Howard has announced his third full-length LP Noonday Dream and has released its debut single, ‘A Boat to an Island on the Wall.’ The single is lengthy in both name and duration, unravelling over an extended 7 minute runtime with multiple, varied sections.

Fans of Ben Howard’s first album Every Kingdom will enjoy the acoustic strumming and serene vocals of the first half of the track while those who prefer his follow up I Forget Where We Were will enjoy the song’s grandiose finish and glacial, cinematic pace. However, the ambient textures and sonically abrasive opening indicate that he is furthering his sound and progressing towards pastures new with this release.

It’s Howard’s first record in 4 years, and he and his band have announced a tour across Europe in support of the record. Shows in the UK include two at the London Hammersmith Apollo as well as Edinburgh, Manchester and Cornwall, the latter being Howard’s home county.
Noonday Dream is released on the 1st June 2018 via Island Records and the details of Ben Howard’s tour can be found here.
