Indie rock trio Blaenavon have just released a dreamy video for ‘Prague ’99’, taken from their debut album That’s Your Lot. The track is a re-recording of ‘Prague’, which featured on their 2013 Koso EP. Blaenavon first caused a stir in 2013 with debut single ‘Into The Night’ that was put out before the boys had taken their A Levels so their debut album had been long awaited. The trio are now back creating an even bigger storm after announcing they’ll be supporting Mystery Jets and Sundara Karma later this year.
The video for ‘Prague ’99’ reflects front man Ben Gregory’s description of their music as “songs from the human core”. The video, directed by Kit Monteith, has been released as part of their new EP that contains features from their debut album That’s Your Lot, which was released in April earlier this year. There is a distinct feminine energy in the video and it portrays the psyche as a tangible presence, adding another level to the already emotive, five and a half minute slow burner.
They are touring the UK later this year with dates across the country, some in Manchester, Newcastle, London and Bristol from September to December. You can watch the video here:
