Childcare don’t seem to do this romance thing the right way. Previous Track of the Week ‘Kiss?’ saw frontman Ed Cares recalling the time he was left hanging by a parent in a school playground, while ‘Film Club’ is all about the need to go to movie nights just to have peep at the person he fancies. Now, it seems that things haven’t gotten much better in his love life with their latest track ‘Getting Over You (By Dressing Up Like You).

The title alone suggests it’s the breakup song no newly singletons expects but it’s the one they need in their lives if they’re to be perked up. Bar all the slightly odd lyrics about dressing up as your ex (each to their own, of course), it’s easily their most contagious track yet and follows on from their debut EP Made Simple released earlier this year.

Having supported Bastille they’re about to embark on a UK tour, strangely named the ‘Gemini, Albatross, Alright?’ tour. Listen carefully enough and you’ll hear the same words spookily uttered in the track. Hear ‘Getting Over You’ below and make your mind up for yourself if it’s a good post-break up technique or not.
