Having teased fans with a social media post on 17 August with a new band picture and the words ‘Nothing Else Matters’, London Grammar then shared a nine second snippet of new single ‘Baby It’s You’ before it was premiered on Radio 1 by Clara Amfo as the Hottest Record in the World on 19 August.

It is the band’s first solo music since 2017’s Truth Is A Beautiful Thing and 14 months since their collaboration with Flume, ‘Let You Know’.

‘Baby It’s You’ sees the Nottingham band retain the dreamy trademark synths, but they have also added a sprinkling of trance with an airs of  Cafe Del Mar. The single was produced by the renowned George FitzGerald.

Vocalist Hannah Reid announced on Twitter: “Hello world  we are so excited to release our new song Baby It’s You. It’s been a long time coming and is just the beginning of something we hope will be really special. Hx”
