At long last, a return of the robots.

While Justin Bieber, Kanye West and Drake are reportedly skipping the Grammys this year, Daft Punk are set play live their for the first time since 2014.

The duo will perform alongside The Weeknd, whom they collaborated with on the tracks ‘Starboy’ and ‘I feel it Coming’.

This will mark two years since their last live appearance with Pharrell, Stevie Wonder and Nile Rogers at The Grammys  2014.

Although performing, Daft Punk have not been nominated for any awards this year.

The duo – Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo – are speculated to be completing a world tour sometime in 2017.

No official statement has been made but this recent news ups-the-odds of the tour becoming a confirmed reality.

Great news for Daft Punk fans (or Daft Funk if you’re The White House Press Secretary).

While the chance of seeing them in the ‘flesh’ remains low, the odds of getting to see them perform at their metallic best this year creeps higher.
