It got a little heavenly with The Japanese House at London’s Heaven last night. Opening with angelic ‘Clean’, completely caught the audience captive with sublime textures that seem so effortless. Vocals were immersive, like falling into a cloud of pure bliss that filled the underground venue. Amber Bains’ echoing vocals found a tranquil place amongst the paced drums and delicate strings. Sharing some new music, set to be released early next year, got a great response from the crowd and chins were picked up off the ground in “something a little less depressive” ‘Cool Blue’. Closing the captivating set with the euphoric, ‘Still’ left the audience mesmerised and enchanted. It was the perfect way to spend a cold wintry London night.
