Summer is finally upon us, we nearly had a whole two days of sun in July. Crazy stuff. The month has been pack full of exciting new music – largely inspired by lockdown in one way or another. But that is not to say every track is about isolation, in fact there are plenty of summertime tunes on this playlist that reflect our current situation equally well. And then we had that lovely, albeit unexpected autumnal return from Taylor Swift.

Swift was not the only big name to drop new tracks in July though. Billie Eilish returned with the new single ‘my future’, Disclosure announced their album plans and dropped two new tracks in the month, while Glass Animals have kept their Dreamland vibe alive with their hot new release ‘Heat Waves’.

And our local bands haven’t held back either. Sheffield boys Cora Pearl came around with their sensational new tune, along with the return of Manchester’s Doves, and the ongoing force of Leeds’ I LIKE TRAINS.

Wherever you are listening from – we hope you enjoy this sizzler of a playlist.
