Django Django have released ‘Spirals’, their first new music in two years.
The psychedelic single is the London band’s follows 2018’s Marble Skies, and highlights the start of a new era for the group.
To aid the new single, a fitting and vibrant kaleidoscope-style music video directed by Maxim Kelly was released on YouTube, ‘taking the viewer on a psychedelic journey.’
“The visual illusion generated by spinning the disks at the correct speed coupled with the shutter of a camera is both confusing and hypnotic,” said Kelly.
“The challenge was to fuse the old with the modern. The analogue and the digital. Updating and modernising the technique”.
Formed in 2009, the band have been nominated for a Mercury Prize Award with debut and now have three studio albums to their name.
However, it is their latest release that really pushes their electronic-rock sound to a new level.
