Frank Turner has released ‘The Gathering’, a new track featuring Dom Howard of Muse, and American singer-songwriter Jason Isbell.

This return marks Turner’s first material in nearly two years, following from 2019’s No Man’s Land.

“It’s a song about what we’ve been missing, that sense of coming together, and how ready I am to get back to it,” Turner said of the new track.

“The last year has been incredibly difficult and frustrating for everyone, not least the people who work and revel in live music.”

Howard and Isbell added their parts for the track remotely America, with Turner enlisting Rich Costey as procuder (who worked on Turner’s fifth album Tape Deck Heart).

The thunderous single features arena ready percussion from Howard and a mighty guitar solo to see it off.

Frank Turner will be heading back out on the road for a series of outdoor UK ‘Gathering’ shows. Tickets go on sale at 10am tomorrow (7 May).

The run of dates includes stops in Manchesters, Liverpool, and Hull and features guest support slots from Xtra Mile label mates Skinny Lister and Johnny Lloyd, plus more.
